Albert Nguyen, MD - Affordable Health Services in Oklahoma City
Serving the Oklahoma City community, Albert Nguyen, MD, PhD, has led Affordable Health Services, PPLC, since 2014. His practice reflects ethical principles of responsive primary care for all patients, regardless of ethnic or socioeconomic status. Dr. Albert Nguyen’s evidence-based approach educates and empowers patients to make their own decisions, and he provides care that is transparent, compassionate, and sets realistic expectations.
With a background that includes Alzheimer’s disease research, Dr. Nguyen also undertook research in HIV at the University of Oklahoma Health Sciences Center from 2005 to 2008. He volunteered for nearly a decade with the Manos Juntas Medical Clinic in HIV care. His training extends to a general surgery residency at the Beth Israel Deaconess Medical Center, a teaching hospital in Boston for Harvard Medical School.
Dr. Nguyen has co-authored a number of papers in his field, including “Minimally invasive basilic vein harvest for arteriovenous fistula transposition using a laryngoscope” (Journal of Vascular Access, 2012). He has also written papers on chronic thrombin exposure and thrombin as a mediatorin memory impairment and neurotoxicity.
